It is the end of the school year which means that we will soon have to say goodbye to a few of our favorite teachers. This year, 7 middle school teachers are leaving and over the next 7 school days, The Direct Message will post an ‘Exit Interview’ that we conducted with each of these educators.

What students had to say.
Menaha Malik, Grade 8
What will you remember about this teacher?
I had Ms. Gulati for Science in 6th grade, and what stood out about her was how enthusiastic she was about her teaching. Even if she had to teach other classes the same material, she came to class with the same excited approach and mindset to get things done.
What is a funny of memorable story that you have about this teacher/ (class, WOW, coaching, after school activities, et.)
On MYMUN this year, for our meetings, we met in Ms. Gulati’s room. Kids were crowding her room and on her bed, and sitting under the table. Basically everywhere. It was pretty funny, but honestly, I feel like she handled it really well. I probably would’ve freaked out and moved everyone as far away as possible.
What makes this teacher unique?
Ms. Gulati continuously gave chances to everyone in class, not just the few students who exuberantly raised their hands most of the times. She wanted to hear thoughts from everyone and valued everyone’s opinions. Not just a few. But she had a way where even if she picked on someone who hadn’t raised their hand, they wouldn’t feel embarrassed or pressured or put on the spot. Not many teachers have this ability.
Aananya Lakhani, Grade 8
What will you remember about this teacher?
One thing I will remember about Ms. Gulati is how nice and fun she is. How in science class in sixth grade, and I don’t remember a single time that I was bored in class. And she always makes class fun and enjoyable.
What is a funny of memorable story that you have about this teacher/ (class, WOW, coaching, after school activities, et.)
A funny story that I have with Ms. Gulati, is that in sixth grade and most of seventh grade we’d see each other a lot in the hallways even when she wasn’t my teacher. And she would joke that I was stalking her, and I would say that she was stalking me.
What makes this teacher unique?
What makes Ms. Gulati unique is her way of teaching because she always tried to make class fun. Like in MUN we sometimes do impromptu speeches for fun on topics picked on the spot.
Arshi Chawla, Grade 7
What will you remember about this teacher?
I will remember how funny and nice she was.
What is a funny of memorable story that you have about this teacher/ (class, WOW, coaching, after school activities, et.)
In MSMUNQ, we were at a market, and the students went off to do shopping separate from Ms. Gulati and Ms. Vosk. We ran into them, and Ms. Gulati kept telling us about how they had ordered a hookah and she was going to smoke it. We believed her completely and she kept a straight face through it all!!! And then she told us she wasn’t actually going to and we were so relieved. LOL!
What makes this teacher unique?
Ms. Gulati is really unique because she treats us not as babies, but like we are mature
