Courses taught: Mandarin What will you miss most about AES? My students, especially Mandarin students as well as my colleagues and friends! What is the best part about being a teacher at AES? I get to work with the most phenomenal professionals and amazing students. What are your plans for next year and what are your thoughts about this next step? I am heading to Singapore and will be teaching Mandarin at Singapore American School next year.
I am looking forward to the “Change”. Change is always good. It makes you GROW! How do you hope your students and colleagues will remember you? A loving, caring and inspiring teacher who instilled a love in students for learning a new language. What message would you like to leave for the community at AES? Thank you for making me feel that my job is not really a job, but a passion. So, Follow your passion and enjoy the journey! Best wishes to you all! When we were in the classroom, and some students were reenacting a story, and Ms. Li took a picture of Jaden Proposing to Su Yeon. What makes this teacher unique?
Her style of teaching is more direct and effective, and she makes sure to keep the class interesting. Matteo Colella: What will you remember about this teacher?

When we did the acting from the beginning of the year. What makes this teacher unique?
She doesn’t give us homework but still manages to teach us well. Driena Muca What will you remember about this teacher?
How she always showed us strange videos and made funny stories out of them. What is a funny or memorable story that you have about this teacher? (class, WOW, coaching, after school activities, etc.)
How she always mixed up Fareed and Tanush’s names up and never got them right (it became a little bit of an inside joke) What makes this teacher unique?
She always puts up with our antics. Ashita Gulati, Grade 7 What will you remember about this teacher? I will remember Ms.Li as my Mandarin teacher, learning mandarin with Ms.Li was a life changing experience. Even if I had a mistake Ms.Li never got mad and she always taught us the correct way to pronounce or to write. What is a funny or memorable story that you have about this teacher? I loved how Ms.Li was approachable, Ms.Li’s jokes were always funnel and even when she made jokes, she made sure we were having fun and learning at the same time. I enjoyed mandarin very much and I give the credits to Ms.Li, she cares for each and every mandarin student and she made sure we understand the concept before we move on. What makes this teacher unique? Ms.Li is very kind and great, I’m truly grateful for being able to learn with her and communicate with her. Mandarin has been one of my favorite classes and I’m proud that I can thank Ms.Li for making mandarin a great learning experience and I will Ms.Li very much! #ExitInterviews
