Origin of Thanksgiving

We have a Thanksgiving holiday this Thursday and Friday. So, I’ll introduce the origin of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the day to celebrate last year's blessing. It was started in the US and Canada in the 1600s. Thanksgiving started when settlers arrived in America. Native Americans gave the settlers food and drink so they could survive. After the next year’s harvest, the settlers invited the natives who gave them the food to celebrate the first harvest, and they ate together as a thank you. This is the origin of Thanksgiving. Usually, the next Friday after Thanksgiving is called black Friday. It means the start of the Christmas shopping season.
