Dr. Faze:
11 years at AES: 2014-2025
Next stop: Buenos Aires, Argentina. Lincoln School: The American International School of Buenos Aires.
How many years have you been at AES, and what are those years?
I am Chris Fazenbaker, I have been working here for 11 years. I started in 2014, where I taught High School Spanish for 7 years, and then I’ve been the Librarian for the last 4 years.
Librarian or Spanish teacher? Which do you like more?
I like both, They are very different roles, I like how in the classroom I get to know a smaller group of students really well but than as a librarian i get to know a larger group of students which is really nice and I get to see the students go a little more, like I get to meet students in grade 6 then get to see them when they are 11th. There are pros to both of them.
Where is your next school going to be?
My next school is going to be the Lincoln School in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I’ll be the Librarian there.
What are your favorite things about AES?
The community, I know everyone says that, but I really mean it. The community I work with has great colleagues, and the students are super friendly and kind.
What is your favorite thing about the library?
I like how open and spacious it is, and I like that it serves so many purposes for the community. There is a space where people can study and be social during breaks, and then the meeting rooms, and I have a really, really great, knowledgeable team that I love working with.
What message would you like to leave for the community of AES?
Always be kind!
