New Teachers of Middle School 2026/27: Mr. Hope

Mr. Hope teaches grade 8 HPE. He has been teaching for 26 years. He was born and raised in New Zealand. Before coming to AES, he lived in China, Australia, and New Zealand.

#1- Any fun facts about you? 

“No, but I’ve done Hawaiian cultural dancing in the past”. 

#2- If you could have another job, what would it be?

“Helping young people at risk.”  

 #3- How long have you been teaching HPE?

“This is my 4th year teaching HPE; however, before being an HPE teacher, I taught math.”  

#4 - What's your favorite sport?

“Rugby” 

#5-What is your dream job?

“Be self-employed and help less fortunate people through retail sales or designing tops and selling them.” 

#6- What are your hobbies? 

“Reading, playing the guitar, and traveling with my family.”
