Welcome to Prem-Talk where we talk about what's happening in the English Premier League this week.

Looking Back:

After the end of this particular matchday, we keep in mind that the end of the season is much, much closer than we think. The teams in the top three have a real shot of taking the League Cup. The top three teams are Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal, in that order. One of the best matches in this week was Arsenal vs Newcastle which ended in a solid win for the Gunners with a 3-goal advantage in the end. 4-1 was the final score. Let's go over the events. Norwegian international, Martin Ødegaard received a yellow in the 7th minute. This was shortly followed by an own goal from the Dutch centre-back, Sven Botman. Kai Havertz puts on a wonderful performance with an 8.5-star rating on Fotmob

MOTM: Kai Havertz

As It Stands:

Liverpool remains at the top of the table with Man City and Arsenal not far behind. As we approach the end of the season, it will be interesting to see what happens now as the final week is in 11 weeks.

TDM's Top Game

Every Matchday there are 10 fixtures and our top pick for this week is the Manchester derby. It will take place at the Etihad on the third of March. With City winning 6:2 to Luton Town, with Haaland taking 5 goals and KDB taking 5 assists, we are eagerly awaiting for this combo to work their magic against the Red Devil this Sunday.

That’s all for the Matchday 23 recap, we’ll see you next time at the end of  Matchday 24.
