Spirit Week Finale: Team Day

This morning at the middle school, 6th graders to 8th graders showed their AES spirit by showing their support of an athlete or team. When the students got to their lockers, the spirit was evident as almost everyone was wearing their favorite team jersey or dressed as their favorite athlete. Everyone was talking about why they dressed as their team or athlete and you could see the true spirit with smiles on people’s faces. Some people painted their face with their soccer teams flag. The faces of cheering and enthusiasm

You could see the true spirit with smiles on people’s faces. Some people even painted their face with their soccer teams flag. The faces of cheering and enthusiasm were as clear as glass with the people’s spirit of their teams.

The spirit continued at lunch–there were games with basketball in the gym. The gym was filled laughing and as students were playing with people that they didn’t even know before. People were laughing as they freestyled with basketballs as people played with all grades of middle school around them. Germany, the Golden State Warriors, the Oilers, Ireland, the Giants, Bayern Munich, the Lakers, Arsenal, the Dallas Mavericks, Texas A&M  and many more teams were represented by the middle schoolers.

Thanks to all those who participated in MS Spirit Week. What a great week it was. Did you have a favorite day? Let us know in the comments.
