Spirit Week: Pajama Day!
The week has finally come. Spirit week. And kicking it off is PJ day, in which people wake up, brush their teeth, eat breakfast, and then go to school. All without even changing.
“I think that PJ day is fun because everyone is comfortable . . . unless you have PE.” -Shiv
The main event of the PJ day is the fashion walk. While there were many people who dressed up today, not many came to the lunchtime activity. Three eighth graders, two boys, and a whole lot of seventh graders. As the music started to play, Mr. Currey demoed how to catwalk, but was soon overtaken by seventh and sixth graders, doing handstands, piggyback rides, and jazz hands.
“I think that PJ day is fun because everyone is comfortable . . . unless you have PE,” says Shiv, organizer of the fashion show event.
While the fashion show was a great way for students to show off their fun PJ’s and catwalks, hopefully more students, and a greater mix of grades boys come out for the lunchtime activities the rest of the week.
Tomorrow is Twin Day and you can make friendship bracelets in the Makerspace. Wednesday is Character Day and there will be a photo booth in the Rock Garden. Thursday is Sport/Athlete Day and there are games in the gym.
