“I started playing basketball at the start of Grade 8. I was introduced to this sport by my friends. They encouraged me to play with them but I didn’t feel like it at first. As I got used to it, the more I wanted to play and now it’s one of my favorite sport. What I am excited for 9th grade is that we get more freedom, as in, we can be more independent. This is a good thing for me because I want to know how it feels like having all that freedom current 9th graders have been bragging about. This is probably something I’m looking forward to when graduating to 9th Grade. I think that AES gives us students more than enough opportunities to play a role in this school. Each of us has done activities outside of school and also done mandatory service which I think is something that should continue.”
