    The DM teams’s Finale

This is our last article we, the whole DM team, are going to post. We express our thoughts from participating in the Direct Message here. We have made a whole new site for the DM, and posted various articles in it this year. We enclose our thoughts at the bottom. Look down | | V Hannah My first day in the DM team I was pretty prepared because at my old school I was a part of a very similar club. The first article I wrote was about travelling on planes and through airports dur

    Humans of Middle School: Seoan

“Something that makes me excited is delicious foods or treats It isn’t that recent, but days ago, my brother shot a nerf gun bullet and I caught the bullet.” “AES? It was very strange because there were so many foreign friends, and the classes were all English. It was strange, but it was also very interesting for me, like new experiences.” See more stories from #Hyeonseo <--- here.

    Merry May

May, the last month of the school year. Every time I write this article, I always think time goes by very fast. It’s not the first time I've said this in this monthly article. I’ve been having trouble coming up with the article name since I already did ‘Marvellous March’. I had to search up words starting with the letter ‘M.’ Then I decided to go with ‘Merry’. It's a cheerful word! Let’s get into the news. The first event I have chosen is Labour day. Labour Day, as you may kn

    Ramadan

Ramadan is an important part of the Muslim calendar, a time for Muslims to practice self-refrain, the holy month of fasting for the Muslims. From dawn to dusk, they refrain from food, drink, sexual activity, and behavior that is considered wrong among people (lies, bad deeds, bad words). This year, it is observed through April to May (April 12-May 11 2021). Ramadan is often shared with family and friends. Muslim Family having a feast after Ramadan. Image Credit: Shutterstock

Tips for a Terrific Online Learing!

Calling all MS students, online learning is starting again (you probably know that) for 2 whole weeks. It’s very disappointing not being able to go to school because of the rising COVID cases. Here are a few tips to keep your online school days bright! Read closely… Mullet-wear: Change your top in the morning to look good...but keep those PJ pants on to stay comfortable. Business on top, party on the bottom. Make a gif-loop of yourself looking insightful to use as a virtual b

    Amazing April

Again there is a month gone. It’s April. Wow, time goes past amazingly fast. Not that I don’t like it. I’m glad it’s April. Oh, and if you saw my March article, I hope you participated in the Earth hour. If you did not..well that’s a shame. If you did participate, thank you. Shall we go straight into the news? The first event is April fool’s day. I’m not sure about you, but I haven’t really seen any April Fool’s pranks before. Anyway, you probably know that people yell “April

    Social Studies NHD Projects

When you go into the 7th grade, you do a project in social studies called the NHD (National History Day) project. We call it AESHD which stands for AES History Day. Personally, this is the biggest project I have ever done. As you may know, this project is almost for the whole school year. I interviewed Mr. Ho, one of the social studies teachers in 7th grade (The other Social studies teacher is Mr. de Oliveira). I asked him why the project was made for so long. He answered me

Make Way, the New Logo is Here!

The Direct Message is set. With our move to our new website, we now have a new logo. Since the new website had a bird made with colourful triangles for a logo (which had nothing to do with the DM), we decided to make a new one! As you probably saw when you came into the website, this is our new logo. Let me introduce it to you. When you see the logo, you would probably think, “A arrow-shaped speech bubble?” Yes, it’s exactly that. I drew it like that because I thought it woul

    Fabulous February

It’s February! Can you believe that January has already passed? It seems like yesterday that 2021 started. February is one of the months that have one of the most important events in the year. Think of the February calendars. Don’t they have red hearts and cupids? You guessed it. Valentine’s Day. Valentine’s Day is a day that lots of people buy chocolate. People buy boxes of chocolate to give to the person they like. Do you know when they started to give chocolate boxes? It w
